I consider myself quite practical. I appreciate when something can be both functional and beautiful at the same time. Over the past year, I have purchased and used some products that deserve some honorable mention. Some of these will obviously look familiar due to their popularity. I just wanted to give my personal spin on things! So, let’s go…
Say hello to “Hyacinth”. That’s my Cincha belt above with my Kenneth Cole carry-on and Longchamp tote bag. Now I know, just like me, you have been traipsing through the airport (or worse, on a cobblestone street!) with your stupid bag falling to the side almost dislocating your shoulder, right!? Well, you’re welcome, here’s the trick – the CINCHA BELT. This was originally featured on “Shark Tank” and I was seeing it all over Instagram and had to try it out for myself. I’m so glad I did. They come in such cool colors and patterns. They sometimes feature seasonal ones as well. So if you see one you like, you better snatch it up. The one you see to the right —-> is “Tuxedo” and I think I might just keep this as a giveaway someday. Who will be the lucky winner?! This belt is made of quality and durable materials that won’t quit anytime soon. And if you’re in a pinch and forget a belt for your own outfit, you can use this in a cinch(a). I know, I’m hilarious.

You do not even need to travel to have this next accessory. I bought this because I do like to travel and I will soon have 2 of my 3 sons living out of state, so I will certainly be visiting them, along with the other trips I plan to take. But if you are like so many people working remotely these days, this might come in handy. Do you need to meet with your boss, clients? Do you live in a larger city where you commute with a few others? Maybe you have to catch up on emails while you’re at one of your son or daughter’s games (can I get an amen?). I have 3 sons and have been to hundreds of basketball games and tournaments over the past 20 years, so I know what I’m talking about when I say I try to use every valuable moment to get things done. If multi-tasking was an Olympic event, I would win gold every time. Included is a charger case. It comes in a few different sizes and 20 colors! It’s made of a faux suede and has held up well over the past several months. I’ve traveled with this in my tote bag and bring it with me almost everyday to my other job in case I have to do some “fun” travel work for my clients. And bonus, it was inexpensive! Depending on the color you choose, the prices were $18.99-$25.99. Not bad at all.
Clearly you must know these are Apple Air Tags. They have been featured for quite some time now. And if you don’t know, maybe you want to look up some Zillow listings and come out from that rock you’re living under. Yes, I have thrown this into one of the pockets in my suitcase. Even with a carry-on, sometimes you get asked to “check it” as you’re getting on the plane because they have run out of overhead space. I am a little neurotic and like to know where my belongings are at all times. I spend a lot of time planning all my fabulous outfits, so I don’t want anything missing!
But can I tell you, my husband got a great tip from an Uber driver recently. He keeps one in his son’s car! Now I’m not sure if his son knows this, but as a parent, I can understand why. Our youngest son will be going to college out of state soon. He will have a long drive home when we’re not flying him home for shorter visits. Full disclosure, he has agreed to have one of these in his car. Just in case he gets stuck in the 500+ miles he will be driving, it will be easy to locate him and send in the cavalry.
I know there’s been some controversy over putting these in your child’s backpack. Those who have a hard time with this, must not be a parent. So, mind your business. I have to say, in a funny way, I’m going to keep this in my mother’s purse when we take an international trip in 2025. I’ve already discussed this with her and she’s agreed, so everyone can calm down. She does not have dementia. She has a horrible sense of direction AND loves to just wander with no clue as to where I am. I say this with affection and have told her, my mother is like having a toddler on vacation. You must keep an eye on her at all times, or at least tell her where we’re going next when walking out of a building. True story, in NYC, she would just venture off not having a blissful clue as to where she was going! For all I know, next year, she’ll wind up on a ferry headed to Morocco. How in the world will I explain that to my father?!

Maybe you’re like me, and you rely heavily on reviews. Whenever I’m going to purchase anything, stay at a hotel, see a movie, I consider what others might say about it. Yes, we all have our own opinions and thoughts on things. But I do find if there’s a review leaning one way, it usually has some weight to it. The opposite is true as well. If I’m reading hotel reviews and there are 2 negative out of 300 positive, I chalk it up to they’re a couple of yahoos. Like I said in the beginning, I just wanted to share my experience using these products and maybe you will find they work for you as well. If so, let me know what you think! I would love to hear your experience.
